According to the China National Textile and Apparel Council, if China's waste textiles can be fully recycled, it can save 24 million tons of crude oil, save nearly 1/3 of cotton planting area and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 80 million tons.

 

The research report of the Chinese Academy of Engineering consulting research project “Research on the development strategy of waste chemical fiber textile resources recycling cycle technology” was held in Beijing recently. Based on the in-depth analysis of the status quo and development trend of waste chemical fiber recycling resources at home and abroad, the research report put forward China. The key tasks of the recycling cycle of waste chemical fiber textile resources have clarified the development direction of the whole industrial chain technology system.

 

China is the world's largest producer and application of chemical fiber. In 2016, the total output of chemical fiber reached 49.44 million tons, accounting for 69.4% of the total global fiber. The total processing capacity of textile fiber was 54.2 million tons, of which chemical fiber accounted for 84.23%. At the same time as the rapid development of the industry and the surge in consumption, the disposal of waste chemical fiber textiles has also followed. It is estimated that by the end of the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the production of waste chemical fiber textiles in China can reach nearly 200 million tons, but the recycling rate of textiles in China is less than 10%. Compared with developed countries, there is a clear gap.

 

Waste chemical fiber textiles are treated as garbage for landfill or incineration, which not only seriously pollutes the environment, but also causes great waste of resources. Seeking recycling and recycling has become an urgent need for the development of China's textile industry.

 

According to Jiang Shicheng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, in order to promote the sound development and comprehensive upgrading of China's chemical fiber recycling industry, the Chinese Academy of Engineering established a consulting project on the development strategy of recycling technology of waste chemical fiber textile resources in 2017, led by academicians in the textile field, relying on Donghua The university has invited more than 40 people from relevant universities and representative enterprises to participate in the research. It took more than a year to form a research report and academician recommendations.


“The chemical fiber recycling cycle is an important direction for the chemical fiber industry in the new era.” Wang Huaping, the project secretary, said that in the next 10 years, it should be guided by major scientific and technological projects with the guidance of “zero abandonment, clean low carbon, high efficiency, high quality and high value”. Supported by the construction of independent innovation system combining "politics, production, learning, research and use", the establishment of a national textile recycling cycle research and engineering technology development platform to make China's polyester, polyamide, polypropylene, polyphenylene sulfide The recycling technology and innovation ability of key chemical fiber varieties rank among the top in the world.

 

On this basis, the project puts forward key tasks. The first is the research on the basic scientific issues of waste chemical fiber materials recycling; the second is the rapid identification and sorting technology of waste chemical fiber textiles; the third is the pretreatment of waste chemical fiber textiles and resource standardization; the fourth is the key technology and industrialization upgrade of mechanical and physical methods; It is the key technology and industrialization of physical and chemical regeneration; the sixth is the key technology and industrialization of chemical regeneration.

 

At the same time, the project formed three special recommendations. First, build a modern recycling logistics system for waste textiles. Under the coordination of relevant state departments, the local government and professional structure will be established to establish a list of waste textile logistics technology and equipment purchases, and form a system of special subsidies for the government to form a recycling industrial chain of waste chemical fiber textiles with complete system, complete functions and orderly management. Relying on the construction of modern recycling logistics information platform, the construction of intelligent recycling boxes, professional logistics vehicles and distribution management stations will be promoted in sequence, and a 200-kilometer recycling economic circle will be built to realize the full coverage of the recycling logistics network system.

 

Second, build a recycling and demonstration park for waste chemical fiber textile recycling industry. Make full use of synergy and scale effect, optimize resource allocation, improve resource utilization efficiency, form radiation by point and face, and promote the rapid recycling of waste chemical fiber textile recycling industry.

 

Third, build an innovation and display platform for the production, study and research of waste chemical fiber textiles. It is recommended that the state set up a national key laboratory for the promotion of recycling of waste textiles, a national engineering technology research center, strengthen the construction of scientific research and talent platforms, accelerate the deepening of basic research on chemical fiber regeneration and the transformation of research results.
